Our client, a large public sector organisation, based in Belfast City Centre, are seeking to recruit an Assistant Payments Manager to join the team on an ongoing temporary contract.

Working within a team of 15, the purpose of this role will be to assist the Payments Manager in the day to day management of the team to ensure that customer demands are achieved on a controlled and timely manner.

Duties are to include, but not limited to:

Assess customer demand and manage/plan resulting workload in order to best meet customer expectations;

Provide advice, guidance and help to staff in relation to daily priorities, and seek guidance from the Payments Manager where appropriate to ensure the timely resolution of issues/problems;

Ensure that an up to date document library is maintained and that documents are reviewed and updated periodically;

Ensure that non compliance issues identified via compliance checks are communicated to the team in a timely manner and that appropriate counter-measures are identified to prevent.

Essential Requirements:

The final examinations of AAT or IATI or foundation papers of a CCBA body or a relevant degree (Accounting/Business Studies)

Essential Experience:

Experience of successfully managing staff in a busy, target driven, and controlled transaction processing environment.
