An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employee Relations Manager with our public sector based client, based in the Craigavon area. This role will initially be for a six month period, however there is the possibility of extension.

Main Duties:

Manage the delivery of a professional Employee Relations service, providing specialist advice, knowledge and guidance across a range of people management issues, in particular Discipline, Grievance, Capability and Dignity at Work.
Manage and support HR staff in the development and implementation of HR solutions through early intervention and prevention drawing on the benefits of engagement, communication, mediation and other solutions to reach the best outcome, ensuring compliance with legislation.
Provide HR support to and coach/mentor HR staff in relation to Employee Relations matters and cases.
Provide support to managers in undertaking investigations, chairing meetings and appeals in HR procedural matters arising from Disciplinary, Grievance, Capability and Dignity at Work cases, including the provision of written records and compliance with relevant legislation.
Manage the coordination and control of all Case Management issues.
Manage the preparation of responses and discovery for Fair Employment and Industrial Tribunal proceedings, including the preparation of documentation, assisting legal advisers, and representing at Employment Tribunals and court proceedings.
Ensure the establishment of meaningful and appropriate business arrangement and channels of communication between the HR Department and the relevant Heads of Department and managers.
Ensure effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including EMT, managers and trade union representatives.
Ensure the range of services and activities undertaken within Employee Relations are continuously improved and developed in line with HR best practice and the legislative context.
Liaise with the Learning and Development section on appropriate delivery of training and development interventions to line management on Discipline, Grievance, Capability and Dignity at Work.
Provide analytical and trend analysis of Employee Relations issues and ensure the accurate and timely production of appropriate management information and reports.
Support the development and implementation of appropriate Employee Relations policies and procedures in accordance with HR best practice and the legislative context.
Participate in and manage HR-related project work, as required.
Undertake any other relevant duties that may be required and are commensurate with the nature and grade of the post.

Successful candidate must be CIPD Level 7 qualified and have a minimum of two years experience working within a Senior HR role.
