We are currently recruiting for Funding Assistants to join a well-established organisation within the public sector. The role will be based in Edgbaston, Birmingham starting immediately.
As an assistant, you will have a critical role in contributing to the delivery of the organisation strategic objectives to time and to budget. Your workload will be largely planned and you will have the opportunity to gain a range of experiences in an interesting and challenging environment. You will be the first point of contact for the organisation dealing with queries on a daily basis as well as supporting the team/project or area of work.
As a Funding Assistant your main responsibilities will be:
Providing high standard of customer service to colleagues, customers, clients and stakeholders
All new requests are quickly verified
Undertake administrative activities
Liaising with colleagues across the various branches in England and UK
Process petty cash claims
Support the efficient delivery of the funding life-cycle
Experience and skills required:
Able to use initiative and work within a team
Excellent Data Entry skills
Confident in dealing with customers via telephone and email
Attention to detail
IT Literate / Confident in using all Microsoft packages.
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
Adaptable to change
Building good rapport with customers and colleagues
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Ideally experience and understanding of the charity sector
Hours of work/rate of pay:
Monday to Friday
