We are currently seeking a Business Development Executive in Bristol working for an established dynamic industry leading client, Salary up to £25k with Band 5 Car, working Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm, please see below for more information;

Purpose

This is a highly customer focused role, being responsible for developing new sales opportunities via field prospecting to identify opportunities from new and existing clients in a given geographical area. Under the direction of the Head of Sales, the post holder will, in particular: Carry out prospective site and office visits to potential new customers Gather accurate, relevant information on potential opportunities with the specific aim of generating new business Carry out market research in the field and give feedback to the business

Main responsibilities

Under the direct control of the Head of Sales the post holder will assume duties and responsibilities as follows:

  • Carry out prospect visits to potential customers in a specified geographic area
  • Gather specific information on possible new customers recording it accurately within the company's CRM system via mobile tablet device
  • Promoting all product ranges and services to maximise client spend.
  • Market existing and new products/services to portable accommodation users in the geographical area.
  • Gather intelligence on the behaviour of the customers and competitors operating in the markets served by Elliott
  • Complete monthly reports for the Head of Sales
  • Keep informed about industry developments and identify ways Elliott can improve their offering to their customers
  • To work in a safe and sensible manner within the boundaries of the Company Health and Safety Policy and any additional site restrictions

Key factors for success (short-term, mid-term and long-term)

Success in 6 months will include:

  • Aware of all company policies and processes
  • Increased Product Knowledge for the business
  • Ability to work on own initiative with limited input from Line Manager
  • Establish a pipeline of opportunities identified through prospecting activity

Success in 1 year will include:

  • Competent Knowledge of Elliott Products and Services
  • Achievement of personal financial target.
  • Development of new accounts
  • Develop a prospecting plan for specific geographical areas

Success in 3 years will include:

  • Using your skills and knowledge to help develop and train new members of staff
  • Open to alternative career opportunities within the Hire division and the broader Elliott business
  • Growing hire revenue at the dedicated branch
  • Ability to sell full range of Elliott products
  • Readiness for promotion into Area Sales Manager role

  • Construction Hire/Service Industry experience desirable but not essential
  • Experience of delivering results against targets
  • Has proven experience and ability to work effectively with internal and/or external customers

Qualifications

  • Full driving licence
  • May be required to undertake any other tasks/duties as requested by appropriate managers.
  • Must at all times carry out responsibilities with due regard to Elliott's Health & Safety Policy.
