We are looking for a data analyst to support in the efficient and effective delivery of Service contract to national Government department. Through analysis and trend identification you will help us make better business decisions using information from our available data. Your task is to gather and prepare data from multiple sources, run statistical analysis, and communicate your findings in a clear and objective way.

Our client is responsible for delivering total facilities management services to a National Government Department. This is delivered through a combination of self-delivery, utilising employees and key supply chain partners.

Working hours : Mon to Fri 9am - 17.00

Rate of Pay : DOE £10 - £11 ph

Location : Leeds, LS10

Length of contract : 3 months to start ASAP



Principle accountabilities:

  • Understanding the business requirements so as to formulate the problems to solve and identify the data to be explored
  • Collecting data from various sources
  • Performing cleansing, processing, and validation on the data subject to analyse, in order to ensure its quality
  • Exploring and visualising data in a business thinking way
  • Performing statistical analysis and scenario modelling to derive business insights
  • Clearly communicating findings from analysis to turn information into actions through reports, dashboards, and/or presentations.
  • To work with the Performance Manager to support in the efficient and effective delivery of Service contract through analysis and trend identification
  • Identify areas of data collection that can be automated via database or system to counter process waste
  • Assist, by providing and analysing data, in route cause analysis sessions to promote continuous improvement



Qualifications and experience:

  • A high level of mathematical ability
  • Excellent Excel abilities
  • Database and simple coding abilities to assist in the data analysis
  • The ability to analyse, model and interpret data
  • Problem-solving skills
  • A methodical and logical approach
  • The ability to plan work and meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with data integration from multiple sources
  • Proficiency in at least one query language
