Production Operative

Manpower is recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of our client - one of the most famous companies in Gloucester.

You will be working within the Barnwood factory who produce many different world famous and most loved Ice Cream products.

This role is initially for a 3-6 week project however there is a strong possibility of a more ongoing role in the factory when the project comes to an end.

For the project you will be working a 2 shift pattern which will involve working 1 week of each shift, Monday to Friday. Early shift is 6.30am-2.30pm and Late shift is 2.30pm-10.30pm.

If you continue in the role after the project has finished your shifts will change and the times will be explained to you before you start.

Your main duties will include:

* Running fast paced equipment/machinery to meet targets and problem solving
* Quality checking
* Packing the product
* Ensuring the production area meets strict hygiene standards
* Collecting information accurately and acting safely at all times

You should be flexible, quality conscious, and have the ability to problem solve. You will be able to communicate with others effectively and work well within a team.

The pay rate for this role is £9.00 to start, this increases to £13.05 after you have completed 12 weeks work.

The ideal candidate will have proven production experience in manufacturing, preferably within the food industry and a good standard of written and communicative English.

A short induction is required before you start on the project role and a further more detailed induction will take place should you continue after the project has finished. You will need to pass set assessments on health and safety, quality checking, hygiene and hand pallet truck training on an induction before you are able to start.
