Hours Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm

My client is one of the UK's leading suppliers of modular space and portable storage solutions and they are looking to recruit a Maintenance Operative (forklift operator) to join their team in Nuneaton

We require a Maintenance Operative to assist in the transportation and storage of a range of cabins. The person must be willing to be part of a team and take instruction from their supervisor and manager. The candidate must hold at least a workplace transport group B2 certification with B3 certification being preferable but not a necessity as training will be given. Candidates must be motivated, reliable and be able to be trusted to carry out their duties in a safe manner

• Loading and unloading units from vehicles. Main tasks:
• The selections of units as required by workshop.
• General maintenance of forklift and other MHE equipment.
• General maintenance off the site and stowage off units.
• Cleaning of units and fittings internally and externally.
• Loading of a range of furniture into the cabins and removing on completion of hire.
• Some working at height.
• General maintenance tasks to timber, plastic and steel portable accommodation units, portable toilets etc
• Cleaning of units and fittings internally and externally.
• Painting exterior of units with spray equipment, roller or brush.
• The fitting and removal of partitions & other fittings.
• Some electrical work, some plumbing, some joinery and flooring work.
• Loading of a range of furniture into the cabins and removing on completion of hire.
• Occasional visits to third party sites to double stack units and install staircase and landing. Removal of same on completion of hire.

Work Experience
* Basic understanding and acceptance of Health & Safety rules.
* Good mix of general maintenance skills.
* Has an NVQ or equivalent qualification.
* Flexible attitude to working.
* CSCS Card holder if possible.
* Proactive.

Qualifications

Counterbalance Forklift Training Certificate over 7.5ton (RTITB, ISTARR etc)
Full UK Driving Licence (if relevant).
