This client requires a positive and experienced warehouse supervisor to join its team and work in driving the business forward. This is an exciting opportunity to join and award-winning business in Romford, Essex celebrating over 10 years of business in e-commerce. The company are looking for someone with at least 1 years experience as a warehouse supervisor who can bring further knowledge to the day to day running and planning of distribution and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all aspects of the warehouse operations are conducted in a professional and timely manner, in line with the business requirements and policies
  • Arrange delivery slots and make sure all stock goes into the system and is put away in a timely manner ensuring accuracy at all times.
  • Ensure order fulfilment and dispatch is maximised and accurate, keeping a record of staff performance
  • Maintain good channels of communications between management, supervisors and employees on site across departments to ensure business targets are achieved
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team to maximise efficiency of all tasks
  • Increase dispatch rate per worker by 20% through efficient planning and staff use
  • Report any issues with deliveries and returns directly to suppliers and accounts
  • Keep all paperwork fully up to date on in house systems
  • Keep the warehouse tidy and well arranged and make the best use of available space
  • Work alongside our partner Peninsula to adhere to our health, safety and risk management requirements
  • Maintain stock levels to above 90% required standards at off-site fulfilment centres using in house software for forecasting and dispatch (Amazon preferred)
  • Prepare parcels and pallets for outbound delivery and fulfilment in strict time limits with maximum efficiency
  • Improve late dispatch rate by 20%
  • Oversee regular stock takes and stock rotation
  • This position requires a "hands-on" approach. You will be expected to carry out general warehousing duties alongside your day to day tasks (loading and unloading deliveries, stock movement etc)

Skills & Experience:

  • Good experience in a warehouse environment (either as a warehouse supervisor or manager) with proven team leadership experience
  • The ability to work in a challenging high-pressured environment leading by example
  • Self-motivated, flexible and hardworking
  • Pro-active approach to all aspects of work with a keen eye for detail to find new and more efficient ways to improve operations
  • Fulfilment experience to off-site warehouses
  • Amazon Seller Central experience and CMS systems a bonus
  • IT skills with MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in palletising large mixed consignments
  • Pallet stacker/forklift truck experience
