The Role;

You will have accountability for results, involvement in budgeting and full Profit & Loss responsibility; you will own the bottom line. This is a varied and challenging role where you will be managing or involved in all activities such as:

• Building and developing sales opportunities and financial performance of the depot to drive growth
• Building relationships and influencing partnerships with the sales teams and wider organisation to ensure first class customer service, revenue and profit are delivered
• Critically and continuously reviewing depot operational effectiveness, challenging productivity and performance. Identifying the root cause of operational issues and developing a culture of ownership, where employees are actively involved in decision making and issue resolution
• Monitoring and reporting on KPIs and depot performance, identifying areas for improvement taking immediate action in order to meet targets.
• Leading, motivating and developing employees to achieve a high performing team. Using coaching and mentoring to challenge staff and constantly build and develop their skills

About You;

You will ideally come from a background within Car Hire / Plant Hire / Construction / Civil Engineering or the Heavy Industry sector.

You will need to be dynamic, ambitious and have a proactive approach to problem solving. Yo will also need to have demonstrable experience as a motivator of people, with a consistent track record of delivering results in a fast paced and changing environment. You will need strong commercial awareness and an appetite for leading change and finding better ways of working.
