Our client is looking for an Assistant Manager. Working closely with the Store Manager to support them with all operations, as well as the development, engagement and motivation of store colleagues ensuring that exceptional customer service is delivered. Based in our clients Newbury branch this position is Monday - Friday 8am-5pm working occasional Saturday mornings with time given in lieu in the week. Salary ranged between £17,700 - £22,000 per annum depending on experience.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Offering exceptional customer service
  • Motivating and engaging with the team
  • Prioritise daily work flow based on customer and business requirements
  • Dealing with customer queries and advising them on their purchases
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of all relevant policies and procedures, being compliant always
  • Account management - ensuring customers receive expert advice and exceptional service

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of customer services and a team player
  • Management experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to remain calm under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Planning and organisation skills
  • Uses own initiative, resourceful, problem solving
