An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 x Data Transfer Officers, to be based at our client's research facility in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire (MK44) - just 40 minutes' drive from Milton Keynes. Our client is a global FMCG Company with Brands such as Lipton, Ben & Jerry's, Knorr, Persil & Magnum therefore this is an excellent opportunity to join a world leading organisation. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 Months, working a 37.5 hour week, this role is paying between £25,900 and £32,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Our client delivers to their customers the product information via a computer interface. We are in the process of rolling out a new database that connects to this interface, and we need to ensure that the full dataset is being transferred. This data includes the ingredient and nutrition panels, plus the allergen information. The role is to fill information gaps in the new database by either transferring data from available sources or contacting the product developers/country of sale to get the relevant information.

The key responsibilities are to:

  • Author and maintain a portfolio of specifications to support the sale of our clients' products.
  • Ensure all data available to our customers is accurate, consistent and robust, enabling efficient transfer of information to consumers that comply with our client's policies and relevant legislation.

The Role:

  • To compile and transfer to appropriate systems, consumer information and product details.
  • Liaise with members of the eCommerce team to solve issues and prioritise workload.
  • The technician compiles the data from several sources (databases, websites, office documents, artwork images) and transfers it to the appropriate systems.

Experience & Skills required:

  • Good computer literacy including strong Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems. SAP systems experience.
  • Diligent, rigorous and accurate with the ability to collate information from multiple sources.
  • Good communication skills towards co-workers and external contacts, both written and orally.
  • Ability to prioritise workload against the deadlines
  • Knowledge of French/German/Spanish/Portuguese would be an advantage but not essential.
