£24,000 starting salary, rising to £28,000 based on KPIs

Overview
This position will be responsible for the entire stores department, its function is to: receive, store, distribute goods to production and dispatch parts to the customer in a timely manner. Also effectively manage the procurement of components within financial controls, communicating effectively with internal and external suppliers to ensure compliance of performance standards, ensuring legal compliance of Company and H&S policies.
Main duties will include;
- Receive goods into the premises, confirm accompanying documentation and complete appropriate receipt records. Deal with discrepancies and notify Buyer/Addressee of arrivals, ensuring timely transfer of same.
- Arrange Goods-In inspection with nominated inspectors
- Ensure stock items are stored in appropriate locations, taking account of Health & Safety considerations
- Liaising with Planners/Buyers and others as required, ensure timely and accurate picking of materials to meet planned build dates and return non-conforming materials to suppliers, where necessary, in accordance with the Business Management System.
- Transport goods and other equipment around the premises using forklift truck or other nominated lifting apparatus. In compliance with the H&S Policy.
- Maintain stock record accuracy at all times ensuring perpetual inventory and annual stock checks are completed as required.
- Pack equipment and articles ready for dispatch and arrange transportation with nominated couriers.
- Liaise with other departments as required/necessary
- Manage MRP or equivalent systems to purchase materials, update prices, adjust as appropriate for allocated areas or suppliers based on forecast & required stock level.
- Manage suppliers on a day to day basis dealing with operational challenges.
- Participate, and manage stocktake process daily, weekly, monthly, and as appropriate.
- To ensure stock value is constantly monitored in line with requirements, targets and applicable business KPIs.
