The Role:

  • Understanding and application of benefit structures, Trust Deed & Rules, Inland Revenue guidance notes, PSO and Disclosure requirements
  • Adhering to and meeting all process and legislative deadlines Calculation and payment of scheme benefits
  • Dealing confidently with pension scheme enquiries from members, including fund valuation requests, information on investment options; clarification of the benefits payable under the pension scheme, by phone email and letter
  • Administration of membership records and other documentation
  • Provision of technical information both verbally and in writing
  • Checking and authorising other team member's work .
  • Full responsibility for managing and completing allocated work split within the team.
  • Project work as directed by Team Leader or Manager


The Person:

  • MUST have previous experience within a similar role dealing with complex DB schemes
  • Minimum of five year's experience in the industry
  • Able to demonstrate ownership, responsibility and accountability for self
  • Be organised, methodical and logical in approach to delegated responsibilities
  • Able to assist with developing a culture of high standards, excellent quality and customer responsiveness
  • Be well organised and be a point of reference for knowledge
  • Able to plan and then be flexible with that plan
  • Be proactive and able to communicate effectively
  • Computer literate in the use of MS Office products, such as Excel and Word
