Our client the Open University is looking to recruit a Telephone Fundraiser to work within the Development Office. This role is for 14.5 hours a week. Working hours are two evenings 5pm - 9pm and Saturday 11am - 6pm, paying £10.46ph.

Callers will be required to:
1. Make calls to selected Open University graduates to
§ Build on our relationship with them and make them feel important to the OU
§ Most importantly, ask them for a donation to support our work
§ Update their details with accuracy on a specialised computer system
§ Update them on current benefits, news and other activities
2. Keep accurate records of all calls made on a computer system
3. Create short 'thank you' notes for graduates contacted
4. Help with other tasks as necessary

The Development Office gains financial support from OU graduates, trusts, foundations, companies and other individuals. We raise money for students who need financial help, support for disabled students and other university projects such as our extensive work in teacher training in Africa.
