Social Media Analyst
Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Social Media Analyst - an analytical mind and business acumen, who will be responsible for recommending and executing social media strategy to support product marketing campaigns that drive relevant commercial KPIs.
The ideal candidate will need to understand the business needs and have a passion for discovering solutions and finding opportunities in a highly regulated environment. Be able to manage large data sets to uncover drivers of social buzz and build a compelling story that will support business decisions, and other activities like for example SEO. The person will work closely with the Data Analyst on creating one source of information and 360 customer view.
Responsibilities
Create, develop & implement effective Social Media campaigns (mainly LinkedIn and Facebook)
Consult stakeholders on topic definitions, social listening measures and filters to define objectives and set deliverables for standard and custom reports
Work closely with the Data Analyst to ensure timely delivery and upload of data for all campaigns, and to manage the use of BI and enterprise dashboarding tools to enable teams to autonomously access reports and insights
Collaborate with Data Analyst to implement social analysis for campaigns/events and present insights back to inform Content /Media decisions for Campaign/Event activities and advise on actions to take from optimisations standpoint
Apply marketing research and development methods to learn and understand emerging trends and technologies
Social listening tool setup including keywords, query parameters and dashboards
Take initiative on refinement of query parameter setup to ensure accurate and insightful mention analysis is available to report on by the end of the reporting period
Report on data from social listening tools including volume, sentiment, conversation drivers, influencers, etc.
Transform social data into a clear story. Visualize findings legibly using charts, tables and infographics, and provide actionable insights based on concrete data
Manage a deliverable calendar of recurring schedule and ad hoc reports
Recommend on social budget effectively & efficiently to ensure business ROI
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Marketing, Communication, Computer Science, Information technology or Human-Computer Interaction or related
3+ years professional experience in marketing/business analytics, statistical analysis, predictive modelling or segmentation experience setting
Skills/Attributes
Minimum 3+ years' experience in social media campaigns
Fluent in English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to transform data into a concise, yet compelling story
Ability to synthesize information and produce insightful and accurate analysis and recommendations.
Highly organized and impeccable attention to detail. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver accurate reports
Strong sense of responsibility, takes ownership, self-starter and proactive attitude.
Good Mix of Technical Understanding, Business Sense, Managerial/Connecting and Interpersonal skills
Must be comfortable presenting insights to a variety of audiences
Strong familiarity and understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Forums, Instagram and Tumblr required.
Strong strategic understanding of social listening from a business perspective
Experience pulling data from social media listening/analytics tools such as Brandwatch, Sysomos Radian 6, Visible Intelligence, Sprinklr, SimplyMeasured, etc.
