The University of Leeds are currently recruiting for a Support Assistant to work for a three month full time temporary assignment at in there NIHR department. The details are as below:

Providing high quality support to the three Heads of Service within the Research Delivery Directorate and Senior Team, enabling the team to effectively deliver its strategic objectives and priorities. Duties include:

  • Drafting correspondence, reports and other documents using Google systems
  • Arranging and procuring travel and accommodation for senior team members as required including the coordination of multiple journeys and destinations to specific timetables
  • Receiving and dealing promptly with incoming telephone calls, assisting with the queries where possible, redirecting or taking messages as appropriate in a polite, professional manner
  • Checking and processing all team travel and expenses claims.
  • Working with team members to prepare all necessary papers and documents in a timely fashion
  • Regular diary and email management including the organisation of complex meetings across the organisation
  • Ensuring administrative support is effective both to internal and remote working managers, adapting service as required to meet these needs.
  • Collating responses from consultation exercises, questionnaires and surveys

  • Communicating verbally and in writing with staff and stakeholders at all levels in a confident and professional manner in order to undertake activities such as:-

Arranging events and meetings (some of which may be complex), predominantly 'off-site' requiring forward planning

Taking initiative to resolve any problems that may arise, and referring as appropriate.

Following up actions from specific projects and work streams

Making use of established information management and distribution processes appropriately (including; the information management system, weekly bulletins, portal, website, etc
