National Account Manager

A fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation as a National Account Manager. As a member of the National Accounts team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of an effective business strategy and drive the development of one of our key accounts. The role will focus on building long term relationships in order to optimise sales through the provision of retail expertise and delivering commercial and retail plans. Working 38 hours per week with a salary of up to £33,000.

What the roles involves:

  • Work with key stakeholders to develop a long-term and sustainable partnership and manage day to day complex relationships within the account, at all levels
  • Manage and monitor KPIs including reporting, taking appropriate action to ensure that all targets are achieved
  • Work with and support the account's central and field-based teams
  • Identify, develop and implement strategic improvement
  • Ensuring Health & Safety policies and regulations are always followed, escalating any concerns as appropriate
  • Monitor current market trends to identify opportunities for growth
  • Work closely with internal departments, to co-ordinate all major change, and ensure it fits together in a deliverable plan
  • End to end co-ordination of promotions
  • Help to identify New Product Development opportunities and support implementation
  • Review department plans and budgets in line with strategic objectives
  • Review and look for ways to simplify processes

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Have experience of a similar role where you have managed multiple layers of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • The ability to build strong working relationships across multiple levels
  • Commercial awareness
  • Experience of implementing change and managing performance.
  • Due to the field-based nature of the role, it's essential you have a full driving licence. At times, there may be a requirement for overnight stays.
