An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Leading Global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum are currently looking for a Procurement Specialist (IT Infrastructure and Services) based at their prestigious facility in Port Sunlight, Wirral. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 37.5 hour week. This role is paying £500 - £600 per day LTD Contractor, depending on experience. Please note; ASAP start required. Travel may be required to London with this role.

Job Description:
Responsible for IT sourcing globally of Hardware, Software, Maintenance and IT Services in Technology Services organisation related to; Communications Services (Networks, Video, Voice Services) Enterprise Computing and Data Centres.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement Strategies

  • o Support the Global procurement strategy development and implementation related to Platform Technologies in the area of Technology Services
    o Participate in internal and external analysis (industry & supplier) and benchmarking
    o Identify, facilitate and deliver benefits through strategic sourcing / e - sourcing / demand management / vendor relationship management / value optimisation techniques working in tandem with the concerned stakeholder/s (Global and Local IT and business teams)
    o Identify the optimum supplier relationships for the organisation, negotiate value driven agreements that are in line with defined commercial and legal requirements and subsequently manage the supplier relationships along with the stakeholders
    o Contributing to savings/cash targets through defined methodologies, tracking and reporting on these financial targets
    o Implementing the global strategic sourcing processes across various countries and implementing necessary catalogues
    o Implement and manage sourcing best practices

  • Projects
    o Support Global Strategic sourcing projects
    o Lead multiple concurrent procurement projects as needed

  • Vendor and contract management
    o Support supplier strategy for assigned portfolio and/or geographies
    o Prepare and manage supplier selection process (RFPs/RFIs) for assigned spend using available tools and standardised templates
    o Work with the Legal Counsel to finalise commercial agreements using contractual operating framework of Master Contracts.
    o Support and lead, as required, supplier governance process by conducting review meetings and developing account plans.

  • Business engagement
    o Liaise with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and work closely to fulfil requirements
    o Ensure the satisfaction of internal stakeholders with the Indirect Procurement of software or services provided by the suppliers within the Technology Services area
    o Ensure compliancy by business users to Procurement policies and contracts and take corrective actions as appropriate

  • Portfolio Management
    o Support portfolio strategy development and implementation
    o Work within defined Procurement procedures (Ways of Working) and always adhere to the Code of Business Principles.
    o Support category in gathering spend data & analysis, contract management and Supplier relationship management as needed using the available tools.
    o Identify opportunities to standardise purchasing requirements, and enable this in the form of a catalogue that can be loaded into Ariba Buyer
    o Document savings in the internal database and assist other team members.
    o Cost and Cash Savings - Proactively identify and deliver Savings and/or Cash (via payment term extension) and Ariba operations in line with set targets
    o Identify and propose cost reduction/continuous performance improvement (supplier) opportunities.

    ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
    - Infrastructure & Outsourcing Services Procurement experience is mandatory.
    - Global Exposure is preferred.
    - Experience in leading multiple key projects independently
    - Knowledge and experience in buying IT Hardware, IT Software Maintenance , IT Outsourcing Services IaaS /
    - Experience of senior stakeholder management, vendor management, and business case development.
