Production Operative

Manpower is recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of our client - a world leader in the production of nutrition and health care brands. You will be working at the Barnwood factory which produces many different, world famous, and most loved Ice Cream products.

Theese roles are temporary but have no set end date, and there could be chances to beccome permanent with the company should vacancies become available.

You must be able to work shifts. The client are currently working to a rotating 3 shift pattern of 6:30am-2:30pm, 2:30pm-10:30pm, 10:30pm-6:30pm - Monday-Friday. You must be able to work all shifts.

Flexibility may be needed for you to move to a 12hr shift pattern in January 2020, which would involve 2 x 12hr Days, 2 x 12hr Nights and then 4 days off - this would include weekend working.

The ideal candidate for this role will have proven Production/Manufacturing experience, preferably within the food industry and a good standard of written and communicative English.

Your main duties will include:

• Running machinery/equipment to meet targets in a fast paced environment
• Quality checking the product
• Collecting data from the line and recording it accurately
• Ensuring the production area meets strict hygiene standards
• Packaging the product
• Acting safely and withing the site rules at all times

You should be flexible, quality conscious, and have the ability to problem solve. You will be able to communicate with others effectively and work well within a team.

The rate of pay starts at £9.00ph for the first 12 weeks. This will increase to £13.05ph after you have completed 12 weeks work.

You will be required to attend a 2 day induction, during which you will be assed on health and safety, quality checking and hygeine. You will need to pass these assessments before you are able to start.
