An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Leading Global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum are currently looking for a Global Communications Manager based at their prestigious facility in Blackfriars. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 3 months, working a 36.25 hour week. This role is paying between £55,200 and £69,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. ASAP start required, no more than one - two weeks' notice.

This is a varied communications role for someone who has a passion for our client's brands and is interested in joining a busy and driven team.

The ideal candidate has a balance between being creative and quick thinking and being a detailed planner. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have proven external comms experience. You are a strong networker, able to build commitment and support with a variety of people within the business. You have a natural passion and understanding of the role of communications in driving great leadership through powerful storytelling. You understand sustainability and the positive contribution it makes to driving business growth.

Key responsibilities:

As Global Communications Manager, you will:

  • Define and deliver the Communications strategy and annual plan, both internally and externally
  • Support the Director as a trusted Communications Business Partner to the Division President and to the Division Leadership Team
  • Deliver leadership communications from the Division President and make active use of channels such as the Division portal, our client's Inside Out webcast, Alert and Yammer
  • Continue great internal and external storytelling about the Division and its brands
  • Build a strong network within the team, including brands and support functions
  • Be the go to person for brands that require internal or external comms support
  • Provide strategic communications advice to brands on sustainability and issues or policy related activations, providing guidance on opportunities and risks, reviewing and inputting into messaging, Q&As, PR and social media assets as needed
  • Work closely with the Media Relations team to develop external communications plan, leveraging media opportunities, pitching ideas, alongside briefing, preparing and facilitating interviews with spokespeople
  • Support the Prestige team on external comms, including media and speaking opportunities and big brand announcements
  • Manage external event activity
  • Build strong relationships, and leverage opportunities, with key external stakeholders
  • Support Division input and content for our client's corporate communications including sustainability reporting, Annual Report & Accounts, AGM pack, quarterly results, M&A announcements

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven communications experience - with a strong track record of working in both internal and external communications roles, as well as having gained brand/consumer led external communications/ media relations experience
  • Experienced at working at the most senior levels of an organisation with authority and clarity. Delivery in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent in storytelling (with outstanding written skills), and experienced in making complicated information simple and engaging for a wide variety of audiences, with a strong attention to detail and proof reading skills
  • Flexibility to adapt between detailed planning work and short-term, unexpected deliverables
  • Proven networking abilities
  • Excellent Bias for Action, shows accountability and responsibility and has a 'can do' attitude
  • Cultural sensitivity and resilience
  • Experience in change or transformation Communications desirable
  • Some travel may be required
