Manpower are working with a well know hire company who are looking for an Engineer at their Erith site, based in the depot, you as an Engineer will be a key part of the operations. A productive workshop means equipment is always available for our customers, which in turn, keeps the customer happy.

The company take pride in the safety of their equipment and its availability to the customer, which is why they make sure their Engineers are able to operate at their peak with continuous training courses and regular opportunities to learn new products.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be working directly with other engineers in the depot and liaising regularly with drivers and the hire desk team to ensure repairs and maintenance is prioritised effectively. Hands on, you will find yourself performing mechanical repairs, assembly and servicing on their range of industrial product such as diesel generators, compressors and pumps.

Whilst your role will need you to demonstrate the responsibility to work alone, they work proudly with a team culture, so adaptability and communication are key. Essential:

  • Strong mechanical skills and able to use tools effectively
  • Strong communication skills both verbally & written
  • Able to adapt quickly to support others
  • Commitment to learn and develop

Desirable:

  • Basic electrical skills (12/24v)
  • Previous experience working within the hire industry or other engineering field

For all this you can expect a salary of £22,000 - £26,000 depending on experience with overtime available, 21 days holidays rising to 26 after 1 year plus bank holidays, salary bonus, life assurance and a fantastic salary extras scheme that offers cycle to work and various other fantastic benefits along with great staff discounts.
