Warehouse Operative

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join our client based in Cheadle. This role is a full-time temporary role for 37 hours per week until the end of December 2019, paying £9.12 per hour, plus shift premiums. Flexibility Days - 8am - 4:30pm, Earlies (6am - 2pm), Lates (2pm - 10pm), Nights (10pm - 6am) is desired.

Our client is primarily involved in engineering, development and manufacturing of turbochargers and related forced induction systems for ground vehicles from small passenger cars to large trucks and industrial equipment and construction machinery. The products offer the very latest in innovative technology to help maximize a vehicle's fuel economy and reduce harmful emissions, while maintaining superior performance.

Responsibilities:

• Booking in / Locating Stock / Order Picking.
  * Inventory Transactions Adjustments.
  * Data Input.
  * E.R.P Metrics.
  * Fork Lift Truck Driving.
  * Works to internal HSE and Quality procedures
  * Identification of continual improvement opportunities through root cause analysis, kaizen and other problem-solving techniques
  * Utilising Six Sigma tools where appropriate to continually improve internal processes and the quality of service to customers
  * SOS, 5S and TPM adherence to specified standards

Skills Required:

• Previous warehouse experience (Picking, packing and booking in stock)
  * Good parts knowledge
  * Must be flexible to work overtime and rotating shifts, as required, and prepared to learn and complete multiple roles within Warehouse
  * Good computer skills. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
  * Health & safety conscious.
  * Good communication skills and close attention to detail.
  * Fork lift licence preferable but training will be provided.
  * Physically able to carry out manual duties. Must be prepared to learn and complete multiple roles within Warehouse
