A Health & Safety Officer is required to join a leading M&E engineering company. This position requires people who want to be challenged and have a passion for success.
This is a permanent position.
Location - Kildare
Salary -Remuneration for this role will be in line with qualifications and experience
Management of subcontractor documentation including RAMS review etc.
Maintain and update of relevant EHS plans and documents on site, e.g. H&S Plan, Fire & Emergency Plan, Environmental Plan, SWMP etc.
Liaise with and providing advice to Site Management.
Chair EHS meetings on site.
Liaise with Client, PSDP and design team as required.
Deliver site inductions and tool box talks.
Reporting to Health & Safety Manager
Management of EHS Management System on site to comply with legislation, company procedures and OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001.
Promote a positive H&S culture on site with Site Management, Contractors and workers.
Monitor EHS compliance on site and generating weekly inspections & reports.
Management of subcontractor documentation including RAMS review etc.
Maintain and update of relevant EHS plans and documents on site, e.g. H&S Plan, Fire & Emergency Plan, Environmental Plan, SWMP etc.

The ideal candidate will hold:
A 3rd level qualification essential
Experience in Project Supervisor Construction Stage essential
NEBOSH/IOSH qualification desirable
3+ years post qualification experience in the Construction Industry
Manual Handling Instructor, Abrasive Wheels Instructor and Working at Heights Instructor (not essential but would be an advantage)
