Warehouse Operative/Forklift Truck Driver

Manpower are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Truck Driver in Welham Green. This is a full-time permanent position.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Truck Driver, you'll be working for a building materials supplier and will provide support to the warehouse by driving both a counterbalance and reach forklift truck.

Your responsibilities in this role are as follows:

• Forklift duties
• Checking goods loaded on goods-out vehicles against delivery notes
• Picking of goods
• Ensuring goods-out vehicles are safely and securely loaded
• Counting stock

Salary & Working Hours

The salary for the role is £22,000 per annum along with 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.

This role runs on two shift patterns and you will be allocated one when you start.

Shift 1 - Monday to Friday, 5:30am to 3:30pm & alternate Saturdays, 7am to 3pm

Shift 2 - Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm & alternate Saturdays, 7am to 3pm

During each shift, you will have a 1-hour lunch break.

Skills & Attributes

As a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Truck Driver, you will need the follow skills and attributes:

• A counterbalance AND reach Forklift truck license and active experience driving these vehicles
• Strong experience in a warehouse environment ideally working with building materials
• Understanding of stock control and the importance of quality checks and accurate recording
