Job Details

This is a temporary position which will support the management of Excess Treatment Costs (ETCs) within the NIHR Clinical Research Network. Background information about ETCs can be found on the NIHR website below, although training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Main Responsibilities

  • Liaising with Study teams by telephone and in writing to ensure the study record sheet is completed fully, chasing responses when required.

  • Coordinating the ETC Helpdesk and triage process, signposting enquiries to the appropriate person/organisation for response and ensuring these are responded to in a timely manner.

  • Generating weekly/monthly reports relating to the number and type of enquiries received by the ETC Helpdesk, and to the completion of study record sheets.

  • Supporting the handling of 'exception' studies, preparing written summaries and updates for weekly meetings with stakeholders including the Department of Health & Social Care and NHS England.

  • Providing administrative support to the ETC team as required.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Organisational skills, with the ability to manage own workload.

  • Flexibility and able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

  • Experience of creating basic reports would be desirable.
