Automation Engineer (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Automation Engineer to join our leading IT Client based in Newcastle. Reporting to the Team Lead you will support Client requests by implementing creative automation solutions via innovative coding and programming practices. This is a diverse role and responsibilities will include:

• Developing, testing and deploying automation
• Leveraging subject matter experts to gather requirements in order to implement or enhance automation
• Help build global consistency by developing against internal software standards
• Help drive autonomic resolution and diagnostics through continual refinement

The ideal candidate will have expert level scripting skills using PowerShell 2.0 to 5.0, experience with documenting all areas of the build and release engineering process with a minimum of 3 years Wintel experience. Development experience in using .NET, C# and VBScript would be preferred however is not essential.

If you have strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels, can work on own initiative, and are comfortable working in pressurized environments this could be your ideal role. Please note that the post holder must have or be able to obtain SC security clearance.
