An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Leading Global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum are currently looking for a Finance Business Partner based at their prestigious facility in Blackfriars. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 months, with the potential that this could be made permanent. Working a 36.25 hour week. This role is paying up to £39,500 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially minded, highly strategic Finance Business Partner to join our client's Global Home Care Finance team, based in Central London with specific focus on Strategy & Performance management as well as partnering the Fabric Sensations (Conditioners) teams.

This high profile, strategic role within the wider Home Care Division involves day to day activities including; constructing performance reviews & interventions for regions and categories, long-term strategic planning and innovation investment appraisal. The Home Care Division has been a stand out performer for our client over the last decade, delivering growth at almost double the rate the average, with 70% turnover coming from developing & emerging markets. It is an exciting time for Home Care, with the division undergoing significant portfolio transformation to ensure it is "purpose-led & future fit", aligned to the Sustainable Living Plan, reflected in a highly active M&A agenda including the acquisition of Seventh Generation and more recently the Laundress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: support creation of annual Strategic Plan (5-year horizon), divisional target setting (regions & categories) and in-year performance analysis. Preparation of performance decks for Divisional CFO to deliver in Global leadership meetings (C-level stakeholders).
  • Strategy Execution: Driving strategy into action. Interacting with regional divisional heads to operationalise vision into actionable plans including agreeing strategic priorities and producing performance dashboards against agreed KPIs to highlight variance and "course correction" actions.
  • Performance reporting and Interventions: Complete the analytics required for any identified performance issues at a cell level - Brand/ Country cell and support resolution through cross-functional teams and Cluster / Category contacts.
  • Business Partnering: Support and partner the Global Fabric Sensations (Conditioners) in projects including brand relaunches, format strategy, white-space entry, competitor benchmarking and shadow P&Ls creation.
  • Innovation & Investment Business Cases: Partner and challenge Marketing leads on the preparation of business cases across our client's Categories to drive our Innovation lead growth agenda including, financial & commercial appraisal of Investment cases for the Division. Past projects include; launch of Powergems format globally and Day2 dry wash spray.

Essential experience, skills & qualifications

  • Experience working within a finance or strategy focused role within a top-tier FMCG or retail organisation, strategy consultancy, investment bank or equivalent.
  • A strong academic background, with a track record at high performance in your career to date.
  • Excellent commercial & Strategic awareness; able to synthesise complex problems and present findings clearly.
  • Experience in financial modelling (strategic planning, target setting, P&L sensitivity analysis etc.), and preparing C-level PowerPoint decks for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders, with the confidence to challenge back when necessary, regardless of position or level.
  • High organisational agility to navigate a complex, matrixed and geographically diverse company.
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills. PowerBI knowledge an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and bias for action.
