Night Shift Forklift Truck Operator

Due to expansion our client is seeking a Night Shift Forklift Truck Operator to become part of their busy warehouse team in Rochester.

You will report to the Shift Supervisor and as a Night Shift Forklift Truck Operator, your role will involve:

• Picking packaging and pallets for the lines
• Loading/unloading product from packing lines
• Wrapping and labelling stocks on pallets
• Tipping products from tonne bags or other bins to machines or visa versa
• Tidying your working area and helping your team
• Transfer stocks from production to warehouse or other locations
• Cover for other team members
• Assisting other departments when required
• Load or unload lorries if and when required
• Put or take stocks from warehouse racking if required (use of reach truck)

The successful applicant will need to have the following skills/knowledge/experience:

• Counter Balance and High Reach Fork Lift Truck licences with substantial previous and current experience
• Self-motivated and ability to use own initiative
• Knowledge and experience of working in a warehouse environment
• Flexible and willing to take on various tasks as well as cover different shift patterns to cover absence/holiday and overtime as required

Hours

5.45pm to 6am minus 1.5 hours unpaid breaks, 4 nights on 4 nights off

Salary

£17,872 per annum plus premium nights £2,946 per annum and night shift premium £2,600 per annum, therefore salary will be £23,418.
