My client is one of the leading independent fire and security solutions providers and has been rapidly expanding the operations across the UK. The company deals in installation and maintenance services, also offers a wide range of solutions from basic fire extinguishers through to large commercial installations.

Job Responsibilities

As a Fire and Security Alarm Engineer, you'll provide support at customer sites throughout the North West. You will be working on your own or as part of a team:

  • Servicing, installing and commissioning fire and intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems for small to medium size businesses.
  • Identifying potential opportunities where customers could benefit from using additional services. (Bonus paid on this)
  • Complete work that is allocated on time by managing own diary to ensure allocated work is completed on time.
  • Responding to out of hours calls whilst covering on call duty.
  • Providing certification for installed and serviced systems to comply with relevant British standards.

Knowledge will be needed in predominately fire alarm systems and training will be provided with regards to security systems as required.

  • You'll be employed on a permanent contract, working 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility will be required to cover on call duty.

Job Requirements

  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Positive attitude and great communication skills as dealing with clients daily.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative.
  • Experience of servicing and commissioning fire alarm systems.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of addressable fire alarms, open and closed protocol systems and networked systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision

Due to the nature of the business, successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory DBS and BS7858 checks.
