The Job
Based in a buzzing office in Biggleswade, you will come in and immediately slot into a bustling Design Team. A healthy mixture of familiar faces and newbies with different ideas, your initial responsibility will be to develop relevant ideas to agreed product briefs. You'll also need to work closely with the Design and Tech teams to ensure your ideas stay on track with the original briefing and that everything at required standards. Finally, they have a real hardcore engineering team in China, and you'll be expected to work closely with them, make sure the designs and specifications are carried out as required, and offering support and insight on more technical issues where necessary.

The Ideal Fit
It's worth mentioning that for this opportunity, the most important trait is finding the right type of Design Engineer, rather than anything technical. In their words, they want someone "who understands the Value of design, but can really solve challenges. You could have engineered the design of anything mechanical but you will have had to have engineered a multi functioning product.

Skills wise, experience of 3D CAD would be great, as well as a relevant degree to Design Engineering. Finally, if you've worked within a similar manufacturing space, you'd be giving yourself a huge advantage if you've supported a product that also uses injection moulding in the manufacturing process.
