An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client is a Leading Global FMCG Company with Brands such as Lipton, Ben & Jerry Knorr, Persil & Magnum and are currently looking for a PA/ Team Assistant, to be based at their research facility in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire (MK44) just 40 minutes drive from Milton Keynes.

This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 37.5 -hour week, to start ASAP. This role is paying up to £32,420 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

Foods & Refreshment (F&R) Science & Technology (S&T) is a global organisation spanning three R&D sites, including Colworth. The team is focussed on delivery of new technologies to the three categories within F&R Ice Cream, Beverages and Foods.

The current vacancy is for a secretary within the S&T team at Colworth. Key responsibilities of the role are to provide specific support to the four Colworth-based S&T Directors and to the Colworth S&T team as a whole.

JOB SUMMARY:

Report to a S&T director and contribute to the continued effectiveness of the group by supporting communication within the team and across the site.

  • Provide administration support to the four S&T directors and to the S&T team
  • Manage the diaries of directors, as required
  • Arrange meetings, workshops and conferences
  • Manage meeting rooms and maintain audio-visual equipment in good working order
  • Welcome visitors and co-ordinate arrangements for visits
  • Support key Health & Safety administration (including maintenance of safety records and databases)
  • Office administration - including dealing with invoices and PRs.
  • Deal with confidential and personal information in a professional and sensitive manner
  • Organise local & global travel for the team, including passports and visa application for international travel if necessary
  • Ensure compliance with the Unilever Code of Business Principles and Safety /Health /Environmental policies.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to deal effectively with a range of customers (from team members to Senior Managers and external visitors)
  • Ability to manage several complex tasks
  • Effective prioritisation
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • Experience of working within a research environment would be desirable but not essential
  • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with standard IT packages including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
