Procurement Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client a blue chip FMCG company with brands such as Walls, Persil, Magnum and Knorr are currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to be based in Port Sunlight on the Wirral. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of up to 6 months, working 37.5 hours, Monday-Friday. This role is paying up to £350 per day, depending on experience.

Job Description:
Responsible for IT sourcing projects globally, specifically within the IT software, maintenance and services space.

Responsibilities:
Support the global procurement strategy development and implementation
Support in coordination of efforts of multiple teams to track and deliver on actions in a timely way
Input into business case development
Ensure business compliance to procurement policies and contracts and take any corrective actions required
Support and participate in contract drafting as required (working with legal and business teams)
Work within defined procurement procedures and always adhere to the Code of Business Principles
Supporting with vendor management and project management (setting up plans and running them)

Skills:
Experience of working in an IT procurement environment
Vendor Management and Consultant experience a must.
Analytical / mathematical skills
Attention to detail
Good understanding of commercial contracting
Results driven
Experienced in senior stakeholder management, vendor management and business case development
CIPS full or part qualified equivalent or working towards.
Strong negotiation skills and leading tender processes
