My client is currently seeking a business develop manager to join their already successful and outstanding team.

Purpose of the role:

To deliver new business targets in line with Company expectations and ensuring responsibility for the development of all new business, ensuring it is compatible and complimentary to our network. Full responsibility for generating and developing new sales leads and opportunities, as well as helping to grow the relationship with prospective clients to secure meetings. To ensure the strict commercial policy, in terms of pricing, trading to profile and payments policies is adhered to along with ensuring that all 'cross sell' opportunities are exploited. You will play a pivotal role in forging strong business-to- business relationships between the company and its clients. The role fluctuates greatly depending on the specific client and as well as needs.

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyse the areas market's potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • You'll be working closely with the Customer Services team to deliver the highest level of customer experience and retention.
  • Monitor local commercial information looking for opportunities
  • Be primary contact for all relevant suppliers including relationship and commercial negotiations.
  • Proactively contribute to various parts of the sales process including building successful relationships with key clients to seek out potential sales opportunities, preparing sales proposals in line with internal business processes and conducting successful negotiations with clients to secure any sales. Where necessary work with the business to suggest and introduce improvements to internal business processes that are likely to yield a greater sales pipeline.
