Deskside Support Engineer II
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip IT company, is currently seeking a Deskside Support Engineer II based on their customer site in Bolton. This is a full-time, temporary role to start ASAP, running until end of February 2020, Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.15pm, to start ASAP. The role is paying £15.77 per hour (Ltd Contractor/Umbrella).
We are looking for a customer focused Deskside Support Engineer to assist with a Windows 10 Hardware Refresh migration Project.
The Applicants should be technically competent, showing good Customer Service skills in both written and face to face communication. The customer sets high standards for themselves and expects the same standards from their IT Support Provider.
Job description;
- To assist in rolling out Windows 10 Image
- Responsible for PC builds, installation and replacement of PC hardware, including Desktops, Laptops and Monitors
- Installation of Standard software packages
- Installation of Business-related software
- Administrating AD software assignments
- Liaise with the Customer to arrange Refresh scheduling and suitable appointments
- Inventory management and maintaining accuracy of the Asset Management system is followed
- On site delivery, and post migration support where required
- Adhering to strict policies and processes around security and data protection
- Ensure escalation process is followed and any issues are communicated
Essential skills/qualifications;
- An awareness of Windows 10 Environment and Office 365 troubleshooting
- Experience of working in a customer-facing IT environment
- Working on own initiative
- Good general IT skills
Desirable skills/qualifications;
- Previous Project experience of large-scale deployments
- Full driving licence and own vehicle
