Manpower are recruiting for a Clerk/Typist to work for our client in Swansea.
Main duties include:
- Audio/copy typing of dictated letters and documents, ensuring accuracy, clarity and grammatical correctness
- Provide cover for other secretaries within the department during annual leave and sickness
- Liaising with staff to ensure production and signing of letters is within appropriate timescales
- Request, receive and send case notes, complying with the Records Policy, in a timely manner and to ensure that all case notes, their content and other records are returned to file as quickly as possible in a tidy condition.
- Updating records e.g. change of address, surname, ensuring case notes are updated to agreed standard including printing of new labels
- Receiving telephone enquiries, ensuring relevant details are recorded and messages passed to appropriate staff member in a timely manner
- Ensuring that all reports and results of examinations and investigations have been received and following up any that have not
- Assist with general office duties as necessary including receiving, sending and sorting mail, photocopying, distribution as necessary
Essential requirements:
- Good standard of education to include English, Grade C or above
- Word processing to RSA II or RSA III, NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification experience
- Experience of working within an administrative role within a healthcare environment
- Audio transcription experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Able to work as part of a team and on an individual basis
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office
This is a temporary role until March 2010. You will work part time, Monday to Friday, 15-20 hours per week.
The role offers an hourly rate of £8.92 per hour for the first 12 weeks, increasing to £9.02 per hour after 12 weeks.
