Our client who are world renowned Paint and Coatings Manufacturer are looking to hire a Field Service Technician to work with their clients throughout Berkshire and North and West London
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a diverse role
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer you will perform highly diversified tasks to install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot Inspect, diagnose, maintain and test colour mixing equipment.
Within this role you will be required to provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of colour mixing equipment which will involve being available for around 10 Saturdays within a 12 month period
To be considered for this role you will
Be able to manage & control your workload to ensure breakdown response targets & contractual service agreements are met, while controlling costs & giving world class support to clients.
You will perform, Mechanical, Electrical duties, Troubleshooting and Repairing colour mixing machines..
You will take part in root cause problem solving exercises·
This role covers multiple brands and markets (including Trade, Retail, Joinery, A&AC, ROI and Export markets) calling on both Independent customers and the branches of major National Account customers.
Working as a Field Service Engineer for our client you will be very self-motivated and self-disciplined and be responsible for managing your own area effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision. You will manage your day to day activity including the of planning your own itinerary to visit customers to respond to breakdown calls, to perform planned maintenance or machine installation.
You will be required to be flexible with planned activity as this can change at a moment's notice dependant on the needs of the business i.e. a day of planned activity may have to be abandoned in order to respond to breakdown calls swiftly.
Qualifications
You will have relevant engineering qualification or have served an engineering apprenticeship.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of servicing complex electromechanical machinery, preferably computer controlled tinting system.
You will have Networking Installation/Maintenance experience
You will have a Minimum of GCSE /O level educational standard or equivalent to include Maths, English & a Science.
Current Full UK/EU driving licence
Skills
You will be able to demonstrate the planning & prioritisation of your workload.
You will have the ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. tasks
You will have excellent communication time management and interpersonal skills
You will be Self-motivated Self-disciplined and have a flexible & adaptable approach to work and client requirements
You will have excellent customer service skills along with practical problem-solving experience and have Intermediate IT skills
