Warehouse Operative
Location: Colwick, Nottingham
Hourly Rate: £8.50/ph
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5PM - 37.5 hours per week

Manpower are currently recruiting for a warehouse operative for their client based in Colwick, Nottingham. This is a temporary role on an ongoing contract with a view to lead permanent for the right candidate.
Our client has been manufacturing static earthing equipment for hazardous area industries for over 30 years. With the business continuously developing new solutions to meet the demands of its customers, they are now seeking an experienced warehouse operative to join their team.
Reporting directly to the team leader, the main purpose of the role is to ensure the accurate picking and packing of orders and all goods in/out duties, and to ensure the dispatch area is safe and tidy while providing essential support to the Production Team.
Duties:
Loading and unloading of lorries using pallet stacker where requiredReceive goods in - check quantities and items against manifest/delivery notes and conduct initial quality control checkPut away and pick stock using stock rotationOrder packing supplies via ProcurementEnsure that the correct number and type of product(s) with correct serial numbers are packed safely for transporting and support on time deliveryPrint labels, flyers, documents (declaration of conformities) and manuals appropriate to each shipmentIdentify pallets with batteries and process accordinglyReceive GRAs, label and put in designated area, ensuring all paperwork is dealt withOrganise work for temporary/casual workers when necessaryConduct physical inventory counts as required ensuring accuracy at all timesEnsure pallets are stored correctly and safely in the racking systemEnsure correct use of shrink wrap machineEnsure safe operation of machinery and alert HSQE Manager to any issues/faults immediatelyCorrect use of lifting equipment (electric and non-electric pallet wheels) in line H&S guidelinesMaintain a safe, clean, neat and orderly work environmentDisplay teamwork in all of the above tasks and support other areas of Production when required or directed to do so.About you:
Experience of working in a goods in/goods out role previouslyKnowledge of manual handlingExperience of picking stock and working with serial numbersAbility to lift items safely and stand for long periods of timeExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining recordsAbility to co-ordinate workload and prioritise when requiredA 'can do' attitude and willingness to be flexibleComputer confidentBe open to learning new skills and/or progressing your knowledgeWillingness to follow instructions and guidance from the Team Leader, Production Manager or other senior employeesA forklift licence would be advantageous, but not essential
