The OU is looking to recruit an Interactive Media Developer to join them asap until July 2020, working full time and paying £14.30 per hour.

The Corporate and Commercial Team OMIL require specialist Interactive Media Developer (IMD) expertise to service the extensive learning media and website work undertaken by the team on behalf of the university and its partners.

You will need experience of:

  • HTML
  • HTML5/CSS
  • Javascript
  • Other web development languages (PHP, Java, PHP, Python etc)
  • Interaction with web services (eg web server configuration, API, mail server)
  • Object Oriented Programming - Desirable
  • Agile Programming
  • Data-driven development and processing (eg JSON, XSLT, XML, databases)
  • Modern software development practices
  • Knowledge of modern web practices relating to accessibility, responsive developments and responsive design, etc
  • Ability to work with other types of media specialists to deliver project goals.
