Role: Import Clerk
Salary: £20,000 to £30,000 DOE

I am currently recruiting alongside a company that recognises they are in a highly contested market, therefore, understanding that their team needs access to consistent personal development and training opportunities as they invest in new processes, technology and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and build relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer service is always provided
- Ensure clear communication with overseas agents, supplier and clients.
- Receive and check all paperwork received from origin
- Receive and check the Pre-Entry form
- Notify clients on arrival of freight
- Use customer ERP and SAP systems when required and invoice the relevant party of Duty/VAT payments.
- Ensure customer clearance is received before releasing goods
Person Specification:
- Experience/knowledge of the Import industry
- Experience of managing client/customer relations with strong verbal and written communication.
- Experience of working in a high-pressure environment whilst retaining the capacity to remain calm under pressure and resolve problems and challenges efficiently.
