Assistant Branch Manager - Timber / Builders Merchant

Manpower have a great opportunity for the right candidate to work within a well established construction materials supplier with a number of branches throughout the Greater London area. As part of their continuing growth, they are now seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to join their busy and fast team. My Client is looking for a Proactive Assistant Manager to assist run their day to day business in there Hanwell branch.

This is a superb opportunity for the right candidate with a timber and builders merchant background looking to play a key role within a progressive, business.

As a Assistant Branch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of this branch, managing the staff and dealing with customer queries in a professional manner.

You will be responsible to ensure that the Health and Safety procedures are followed and kept up to date.

In your role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their requirements for timber and building supplies, as well as processing orders and providing a high level of service. Responding to customer sales orders and queries both in person and via the telephone. You will ensure the welcoming of all customers is done in a polite and pleasant manner; you'll arrange deliveries. Additionally, you'll oversee with stocktaking activities, replenish stock levels and maintain the appearance of the sales area.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- Hands-on management experience gained within a timber and builders merchant environment

As the Assistant Branch Manager, you must have excellent communication, planning and leadership skills, as well as a decisive and driven approach.

Working hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday (varied shift starts and finishes).

alternate Saturday, working week is based on a total of 47.5hrs, covering the opening hours of the branch (Flexibility required)
