About the role

Babcock International is one of the largest providers of support services to the emergency services sector. We manage vehicles and equipment on behalf of organisations such as London Fire Brigade, Metropolitan Police Service and the Highways Agency. As one of our Vehicle Mechanics, you'll play a vital role in keeping their vehicles on the road and in great working order.

Working from Catterick, you'll find that no two days are the same as you service, repair and complete a variety of vehicles and equipment to high quality standards.

You will also carry out examination tasks to meet production needs subject to necessary training and proficiency and carry out duties as above to occasional civilian vehicles and mechanical equipment.

What do I need to do the role?

First and foremost you'll need to be educated to Level 3 in Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) / National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) as a minimum (Advanced Apprenticeship, Level 3 VRQ/NVQ).

You will also hold a valid and appropriate UK driving licence.

Experience working with ex-military armoured vehicles would be desirable.

What else do I need to know?

We are happy to talk about flexible working. Please ask about alternative patterns of work at interview.
