999 Emergency Call Handler

Manpower are currently recruiting for several exciting opportunities working as a 999 Emergency Call Handler, Band 3, based in Wakefield.

16 hours per week on a rota basis

Suitable candidates must be available for full time training Monday - Friday for 2 weeks.

We are looking for dedicated reliable and hardworking individuals. Previous experience within a similar role would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.

Suitable candidates will be educated to GCSE level (grades A to C) in English or NVQ Level 2 and/or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of experience.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

Responsible for the first point of communication with patients, patient`s relatives, healthcare professionals and other callers including other emergency services and GP Out of Hours. Using the Computer Aided Dispatch system and Advanced Medical Priority Dispatch System (AMPDS) take accurate bookings for both emergency & non-emergency ambulance transport or transfers for clinical triage, providing a high-quality service and support to callers.

This position is a part time role covering 16 hours per week. When applying for this role you must be able to be available for full time hours for training purposes.

Pay

£9.09 any hours worked from 6am - 8am Monday - Friday

£12.27 any hours worked from 8pm - 6am Monday - Friday and Saturday

£15.36 any hours worked on a Sunday / Bank Holiday

This is a temporary on-going position
