About the Role

Here at Babcock International looking to appoint a Quality Systems Engineer to join our team working on vast, complex projects within the Marine Defence industry. Babcock are a trusted name within this domain and are continuously growing, as a result we are looking for a driven, experienced professionals to join our division.

You will part of our Defence Systems Technology (DST) business unit, which forms a critical part of Babcock's Marine organisation. Working across a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects, our 1,500 strong team operate from a number of sites across the UK and internationally ensuring our global customer portfolio is always supported.

Using your experience you will develop and lead the Compliance Management Plan, ensuring our business is fully compliant with the full range of Certified Management Systems and Standards and work with the Business Streams to implement new Standards and approvals to support our growth into new products, territories and sectors.

An expert in Certified Management Systems and Quality Assurance, you will ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement activities, understanding awareness, management review and audit plans. You will be the key point of contact for the range of third parties assessing our business Certified Systems.

What do I need to do the role?

You will need to have extensive experience in a quality assurance role, particularly Certified Management System compliance and have the gravitas to work within a multi-disciplinary team.

We would also like you to have extensive experience in all or some of these areas:

* Implementing complex Certified Management Systems, Standards and Approvals within the Engineering sector.
* A deep understanding of the Systems and Standards construct development intentions and the ability to translate into the business.
* Ensuring compliance with such Systems, meeting the stringent requirement of Certification Bodies and building close relations with third party assessors.
* Leading development and changes in such Systems to meet technical, operational changes and business growth plans.
* Active engagement in quality-related Change programmes and activities, which facilitate a culture of evolution, learning and continuous improvement.
* Evidencing the appropriate professionalism and behaviours expected as a Quality team member.
Lastly, you will need to be able to deploy good communication and influencing skills, as you will work closely internal and external stakeholders including Certification and Regulatory Bodies and clients.

What else do I need to know?

* The role is based in Bristol.
* The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role and will need to complete a medical assessment
