Manpower are currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to work within a Brewery Depot based in Irlam.
Pay - £10.66
Hours - 4 on 4 off working from 6am - 6pm on a rotating basis
- Manage a team of Fleet Operatives to ensure the cost effectiveness, efficiency, and service standards of the sites
- To play a vital role in shaping the culture and approach of the workforce and supporting and developing the team through leading, coaching, and communicating - facilitating a focus on business excellence and continuous improvement of operational efficiency and customer service.
Main Duties
The safe operation of distribution activities across the site, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation and safe systems of work in line with road transport legislationThe delivered service to the customers of the Depot/Brewery and ensuring that key performance indicators are achieved and exceeded.Employee relations and the development of a positive, co-operative and mutually supportive working culture amongst all employees.Ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements.Motivating and developing Fleet teams so that they deliver the required levels of customer service, productivity and cost-effectivenessContinuously seek to optimise the cost-effectiveness, productivity and customer service levels of the Depot/Brewery through planned and regular communication mechanisms and the proactive accessing of Operating Agreements.To stand in for Team Manager as and when required.Manage the Industrial Relations of the Depot in all aspects, including Disciplinary and Grievance; Company sickness and absence policy; etc. up to and including first written warning level.Operational decisions concerning processes across Depot/Brewery which impact on costs and serviceIf you feel this is the role for you please apply with an up to date cv ASAP.
