About the role

Here at Babcock International and as a key partner to the British Army we are looking to recruit an Armourer to be based at Bovington a British Army Military base in Wareham, Dorset.

As the Armourer you will be responsible for carrying out the inspection, servicing, repair and overhaul of weapons and armour systems, assemblies and general equipment. You will diagnose, inspect and assess weapon systems, vehicles and associated equipment, complete documentation and provide an accurate recording of job transactions.

What do I need to do the role?

You will be educated to Level 3 in Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) / National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in an Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering discipline as a minimum (Advanced Apprenticeship, Level 3 VRQ/NVQ).

You will have conducted weapon equipment courses or have significant demonstrable equipment familiarisation, and hold Military Class 1 or Class 2 Armourer Qualification.
