Data Protection Compliance Specialist, Dublin City Centre. This position will be based at the Head Office in Dublin City Centre.

Hours: Mon-Fri 08:45 - 17:00

Department: Regulatory Affairs Risk & Compliance

Reporting to: Director Regulatory Affairs Risk & Compliance

Job Purpose:
*Assist the Director of Regulatory Affairs Risk and Compliance of AA Ireland to deliver an appropriate Data protection Risk Management framework and promote a strong compliance culture, consistent with the achievement of AA Ireland's strategic objectives and within risk appetite.
*Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a strong effective controlled environment and identifying, assessing monitoring and reporting on Data Protection risks inherent in the business to senior management and the business.

Qualifications and Education:
*A relevant law qualification
*Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO)
*LCOI would be an advantage

Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
*At least 2 years' experience in a Data Protection role
*Experience in a risk / regulatory compliance role
*Ability to work autonomously and pro-actively in identifying issues and offering solutions
*Subject matter expert in Data protection law and practice
*A general knowledge of Central Bank regulation would be an advantage.
*Have good presentation, documentation and report writing and communication skills.

Job Description and overview:
*Design and operate the Data Protection Framework and Program for AA Ireland (25% of role)
*Promote the Data Protection agenda across AA Ireland. Provision of accurate, reliable and consistent advice to all stakeholders in relation to all aspects of Data Protection law, regulation and practice (15% of role)
*Maintenance and oversight of the Article 30 Record of Processing (10% of role)
*Triaging, review and investigation of suspected personal data breaches. (5% of role)
*Keep up-to date on all developments in relation to data protection and privacy matters and changes in law, regulation and guidance. (5% of role)
*Design and delivery of an organization-wide appropriate Data Protection training program (5% of role)
*Liaison with the Data Protection Commissioner in relation to potential personal data breaches, and other matters (5% of role)
*Co-ordination and oversight of Data Protection Impact Assessments (15% of role)
*Contribute to the Regulatory Affairs Risk and Compliance Annual Plan and any amendments thereto. Management Information design and reporting to relevant fora. (10% of role)
*Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned (5% of role)

*A monitoring program for Data Protection with comprehensive record of work done
*Article 30 Processing Register
*Register of and oversight of Data Protection Impact Assessments
*Personal Data Breach Log and records
*Advice and Guidance to AA Ireland functions in relation to Data protection law and practice
*Regulatory Communications Logs evidencing reporting to Data Protection Commissioner.
*Planning (Annual, 6 monthly) Planning and Management Information reporting at regular intervals
