SF31324
Devonport, Plymouth
Starting Salary: £36,525 - £40,995

About the role
We're looking for a Senior Cost Controller within the Estates department to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. We're a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.

The Estates Project Department is responsible for delivering extensive and diverse infrastructure upgrades and improvements across the entire Devonport Site and often beyond. A significant, recent commitment to invest in site improvement necessitates expansion of the existing core team to accommodate delivery.

You will assist in the Management of the company CAPEX submissions, overhead finance and general accounts for multiple projects. The successful Senior Cost Controller will also support project managers by analysing data and communicating discrepancies and overall findings through verbal and computer based reporting.

What do I need to do the role?
We would like you to have an understanding or entry-level background in finance or accounting with excellent computer skills (MS Office) and the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals.
We would also like you to hold some of the following:

* CapEx experience
* Desirable experience in estates or consultancy organisation

What else do I need to know?

* The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
* We are happy to talk about flexible working. Please ask about alternative patterns of work at interview.
