Electrical/Mechanical Supervisor
South East London
My client is an M&E contractor based out of Salford, with contracts all across the UK. Due to continual growth of the business they are looking to expand their team by appointing an electrically focused working supervisor with experience in working also with mechanical assets based in the London area to manage the Southern division of the business.
The main aspect of the work will be in the road tunnel infrastructure, with the potential of working on up to 12 road tunnels in and around London and the South of England. The closures are carried out on weeknights and weekend nights. The applicant must be willing to adapt to these types of working hours.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for all the daily operational activities and the management of all operatives and sub-contractors present on each shift.
- Ensuring adherence to all company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Manage activities on site, ensuring the health and safety standards are maintained.
- Organisation and co-ordinating site resources to optimise the effectiveness on site.
- Responsible for ensuring that the quality of works carried out is to the highest standard/monitoring the performance of the engineers and specialist sub-contractors.
- Raise any issues that my affect the progress of works, ensuing that quality is maintained throughout and that all tasks are carried out with in time and snag free.
- Reporting daily/weekly updates to management.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 18th
- 2394/2395 or equivalent.
- SSSTS of
- UK Driving License (clean).
- Computer literate/report delivery.
- Ability to work with minimal instruction.
- Smart, presentable, and happy and confident to deal directly with clients.
- Established track record of delivering projects.
- Happy to work alongside colleagues during installations.
Experience in the following would be desirable but not critical:
- Tunnel and Ancillary Lighting.
- LV Distribution.
- Working with Pumps/Motors.
- Working Supply and Extract Fans.
- Variable Speed Drives.
- Emergency Signage Systems (wayfinder).
- CCTV/Intruder alarm.
