About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Senior Analysis Engineer within the Engineering Services Business Unit which provides engineering support capability to enable the delivery of the company's contracted outputs to our customer. Maritime Mission Systems contains both Strategic and Combat Systems engineers to provide engineering support to key platform programmes for the CSDT delivery team under the current MSDF and Future FMSP contracts.

You will be based the Bristol area, there will be an occasional requirement to travel to Plymouth, Scotland, Barrow and Southern England.

As the Senior Analysis Engineer you will provide technical SQEP for the development of future business to provide statistical analysis within the Royal Navy CSDT delivery team by designing, developing and enhancing software tools which are to include but not restricted to the Weapons Engineering Support Tool (WEST), Combat System Predictive Analysis tool (CS-PAS), WE Admin tool, Training tool and the Integration of these tools into a central hub for CSET.

Using your experience you will obtain equipment data from within the SSMG, SSD and liaise with external stakeholders in (EPM's), Platforms (RN) and the Waterfront in Devonport, Clyde and Portsmouth to determine equipment defects and other issues affecting In-service Submarine Combat Systems Equipment Capability, Availability and Performance. And evaluate and analyse Combat System equipment data to determine underperforming equipment's, identify root causes and recommend improvements.

What do I need to do the role?

You'll need a minimum of HNC qualification in a relevant engineering discipline and a BSc (Hons) in Computing, Electronics or Mathematics.

We would also like you to have experience in all or some of the following areas:
*Knowledge and experience of Submarine Combat Systems and RN waterfront support delivery teams. Also Operational Defect (OPDEF), S2022 Combat systems defect reporting, OEM design / technical authorities, CS working groups.
*A working knowledge of ARM data Analysis, ILS, Software Python, MS Power BI, Redcube and MS Office also knowledge of systems such as DDR, UMMS, SSDD, CRISP, MCWE and Windchill would be an advantage.
*Data Analysis, extraction, cleansing, automation and exploitation of data in order to identify root causes and recommend improvements.
*Good communications, presentation skills and a proven ability to produce technical reports of a high professional standard.

What else do I need to know?
*The post will be based in an environment regulated by Trade Control legislation and involve working with controlled goods, technology and/or services. You must be a sole UK national and hold current, active 'Security Check' (SC) or 'Developed Vetting' (DV) security clearance. Candidates who do not meet the above criteria and hold active security clearance will not be considered for this post.
*This position is based in Keynsham, which is situated between Bristol (5 miles) and Bath (7 miles).The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
