You will be at the forefront of receiving calls from members of the public and health professionals requiring assistance and information. You will need to handle all calls and contacts courteously, efficiently and in a way that best meets the immediate needs of the patient. The calls will be people requesting medical or dental assistance and advice, you will need to assess risk and patient's needs through the application of Pathways, in order to reach an appropriate decision, on where to refer them to, being 999 Dispatch or Clinical Advisors.
Record all the information accurately. Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all patient and Trust Information at all times.
You would need to be available to work on a rota system that includes working both days and nights from 7am up to 7pm and 7pm to 7am, this will include working over some weekends, therefore flexibility is key to this role.
You would need to have a DBS check which is undertaken by Manpower.
Full training is provided for this role therefore the main criteria you would need is to confident on the phone with keyboard experience, this is an on going role which could lead to a permanent position for the right candidates.
Free parking on site. You would need to be able to drive as Public transport is not near by.
